In 2021, Mattel released 12 different 9 Packs/Sets. Each set contains one exclusive car, which is not particularly surprising. What is surprising this year is that each pair of sets includes so-called "semi-exclusive models." These are three selected cars that are exclusive within a pair of 9 Packs/Sets. This business model is a welcome addition, as collectors get more exclusive models in at least one of the sets.

The first pair (GVY61, GVY62) includes the Land Rover Defender 110 and the Cadillac CTS Coupe, which share the Dune Dog, Honda Insight, and Glass King.The second pair (GVY63, GVY64) consists of the '56 Ford Pick-Up and the Dodge Challenger SRT8, along with the Ford Panel Van, Rock Shocker, and Two-story Bus.

Next in line (GVY65, GVY66) are the '93 Ford Mustang LX SSP and the Custom '95 Chevy Van in the National Parks theme, with a variant featuring a spare tire/motorcycle. Their shared exclusives are the Porsche 914, Renault Master, and '71 Nissan Skyline. Following them are the 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor and the 1971 Chevy Chevelle (GVY67, GVY68), with shared exclusive models being the '19 Ford Mustang Coupe, Ford Transit News Van, and Vantom in the Wildfire Rescue theme.

The fifth pair (GVY69, GVY70) includes the Jeep Wrangler Superlift and the Pontiac Firebird Formula, along with the Alfa Romeo 4C, 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, and the 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 in the popular INC construction company theme. The final pair (GVY71, GVY72) consists of the Toyota Tacoma Lifeguard and the '15 Chrysler 300, whose sets include the Corvette, '94 Chevy Caprice Classic Police, and Volvo V60 Wagon.

Altogether, this results in a total of 30 exclusive models.
