The basic line of the 2005 model year contains 75 cars, 8 of which are unique to the USA and ROW markets. There are a total of 20 new models MB660-MB680 in the line. An interesting model is the MB663 Ford F-150 Lightning, which was released at the turn of 2004/2005, but did not have a full premiere directly in the basic line of 2005, but managed to supplement the Superfast line from 2004.
In the 2005 model year, production is also gradually moving from China to Thailand. Therefore, a few models from the basic line can be found in variants on the Made in China chassis or in the later edition Made in Thailand.
An interesting thing is the variety of packaging in which the cars were released. The covers were for different markets in the USA (2005, 2006), for ROW (2005, 2006) and CAN (2005), so some models can be found in five different covers, e.g. #68 Ford Focus.
