The Moving Parts series is a new line following the tradition of the original Lesney models, which had opening components - doors, trunks, hoods, etc. The first two models from wave A, the Volkswagen 1600 and the Pontiac Grand Prix, also refer exactly to the cars released in the Lesney era. The third model released in the first wave was the modern Nissan Xterra.
The second wave, also containing 3 models, for unknown reasons did not reach distribution in the USA at all and was launched on the markets mainly in Australia or Asia. Therefore, the Chevy Camaro (orange), Jeep Willys (green) and especially the Ford Crown Victoria in the colors of the New York Police Department became very sought-after and rare collector's items.
Wave C contained six models - three completely new castings of the Tesla X, Chevy C10 and Datsun 280ZX and then three recolors of the wave B cars. The Tesla X model in particular is very popular among collectors, hard to find and therefore expensive to purchase.
The latest wave D again contains six cars, three new ones - Renault Trezor Concept, Buick Riviera and Custom Ford Sedan and three recolors from the first wave A.
